You must not send any item addressed to a country in which the item is unlawful or prohibited. When an item is restricted you must comply with the restriction. Prohibitions and restrictions vary from country to country and can sometimes apply to items which you may think are ordinary. The information below is provided in good faith, but Parcels Cheaper is not responsible for it and it should be viewed as a guide only. Specific restrictions and changes may be enforced at short notice, so for clarification please contact the destination country's trade, postal or customs authority.
PROHIBITED ITEMS: (not allowed in any circumstance)
This is a postal service and is delivered by Deutsche Post (Germany Post) therefore if you do not select the signed for delivery option you can only claim compensation for the cost of the service paid.
If the parcel has not been delivered you will be able to claim back the cost of the sale price for the goods only up to the value of insurance you purchased.

Unable to deliver:
If the recipient is not available when Germany Post try to deliver, the recipient is required to follow the instructions on the card posted through the letterbox to either collect their parcel from the local Germany Post delivery office/arrange for a re-delivery. If no response is received it will be returned to the U.K. sender from Germany.
Germany is a E.U. country and currently there are no customs regulations to deal with when sending a parcel from the U.K. to Germany.
Please ensure you do not send prohibited items to less obvious examples include:
1. Lithium batteries.
2. Plants and live trees, cut flowers and ornimental foilage.
4. Alcohol over 82% alcohol by volume.
5. Toy weapons and video games.

Germany Post size and weight guide:
Letters: up to 100 grams, maximum length 240 mm x width 165 mm x 5 mm thick.
Large Letters/Thin parcels: up to 750 grams, maximum length 353 mm x width 250 mm x 25 mm thick.
Parcels: up to 2000 grams (2 kgs) Printed Papers up to 5000 grams (5 kgs) Maximum length is 60 cms and the length + width + height must be 90 cms or less.
Tubes/rolls: Maximum length 90 cms, length + width + height must be 104 cms or less.
Note that the width and height are the same size as it is a tube shape.
Printed Papers in a sack to a single addressee: up to 11000 grams (11 kgs).
Printed papers is any paper that has print on it. (Books, magazines, documents, leaflets etc)
We put printed papers in a sack free of charge once received.
Parcels received above sizes stated will incur a delay and a charge made for using a different suitable service.
Signed for services only receive a signature if the person is there to sign for the parcel.
Tracked services fully tracked with online proof of delivery. Can be posted through the letterbox as a signature is not required, this may be more convenient.
NOTE: It is the senders responsibility to comply with government regulations or laws applicable in Germany. Not all commodities can be sent to each country.

Packstations and Lockers:
It is becomming increasingly more common to send or receive parcels to lockers or a Packstation (another name for a parcel locker) the signed for service is not available to lockers as there would be no one to sign for the parcel.
